The 5 Ways to Wellbeing are 5 evidence-based public mental health messages that a person can add to their daily lives to help improve or preserve good mental wellbeing and physical health. The following steps have been researched and developed by the New Economics Foundation.
Green health activities include any nature-based activity that gets people outdoors and benefits their physical and/or mental health and wellbeing.
It can include a wide range of activities such as:
Participating in green health activities can help prevent poor health, aid recovery, reduce inequalities and contribute to climate change and environmental sustainability within local communities. Maybe you are someone who likes to spend time in the garden – nurturing flowers, plants or vegetables. Or maybe you just like to take in the lovely sights of nature around your local area. Or maybe you might prefer to keep yourself active by walking or cycling.
